Ms. Jacob brought frogspawn from Wexford. She brought the frogspawn in for educational purposes. The next day Ms. Jacob got a permit to bring the frogspawn home on weekends and holidays. The class was very excited.

During iPad time we researched about frogs and their habitats and what they need to grow and develop. We found out that the tadpoles need something to eat and that as they get they get bigger they will need rocks to sit on.

At the moment we are feeding them spinach. We are also using still water that does not contain any chlorine which could be dangerous to the tadpoles.

Our plan is to make them a bigger habitat so that they will have all the vital things they need to grow up: space, oxygen and more nutritious food.

First class are learning about the life cycle of the frog at the moment so we will go to their class and show them what we have learned about our frogs. We will show the tadpoles to any other class that would like to know about frogs and their development too.

We will keep you posted on how our frogs are doing. Please see some pictures below.
