Our school librarians held a Halloween-themed writing and art competition! Each class was set
a special spooky challenge…

Junior and Senior Infants were asked to draw a spooky character while First and Second Class were set the task of designing a spooky book cover. Third and Fourth Class got their thinking caps on to compose acrostic poems using the word, ‘Halloween’ and Fifth and Sixth Class put their poetry skills to work to compose a 3-verse rhyming poem about Halloween.

There were plenty of fantastic entries which made the judging very difficult for our librarians. They presented the lucky winners with their prizes in assembly on Friday.

Congratulations to our librarians for organising such a fantastic event and well done to all our talented artists and writers who took on the challenge!
