A Springdale cricket team of pupils from 3rd – 6th Class played their first match against Holy Child National School, Whitehall, on Tuesday.
Captain Cosgrave won the toss and chose to bowl. The team bowled accurately and their fielding was superb.
They got off to a great start at the crease too. Their batting didn’t let them down. With a number of fours, good decision making and by protecting the wicket, they managed to take the lead.
Having showed great determination, skill and sportsmanship throughout the game, they came away with the win they deserved. Well done to all our cricketers!
