Thursday 5th March was a busy and exciting day in Springdale National School as we celebrated World Book Day 2026.
The hall was beautifully decorated with colourful World Book Day displays created by each class. In addition, children from a variety of classes brought in impressive 3D works of art inspired by their favourite books. The creativity and effort on display were fantastic, and these wonderful creations can be seen in our video below.
Students from 1st to 6th Class took part in a World Book Day quiz, while Ms Cahill visited the infant classrooms to share a World Book Day story.
Later in the day, each class had the opportunity to visit the school library.
Our World Book Day celebrations concluded with a special assembly on Friday, where students spoke about their favourite books and showcased the artwork they had completed throughout the week.
