There was great excitement in school on Friday when Emmet from Burning House Productions arrived to lead a special film making workshop. After setting up a professional film set in the hall, pupils from 3rd to 6th Class were set the challenge to create their very own short films.

Working as real film crews, the children took on a variety of roles, including camera operators, sound and lighting technicians, directors and actors. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn about the film making process while developing teamwork, creativity and communication skills.

The workshop was a huge success and is one we would highly recommend. We are looking forward to hearing from Emmet next week when he will send us the completed films created by each class. We can’t wait to see the finished productions on the big screen!

Watch out, Cannes —here we come!
