6th Class have been very busy over the past two weeks preparing for Halloween! We read about the story of Macbeth by William Shakespeare and based some drama activities on this gory play. We then learned ‘The Witches Spell’, a poem from the play. It’s full of rhyming couplets and descriptive language which created great images in our minds. The spell in this poem was cast by three witches and we couldn’t get over the disgusting ingredients they used in their concoction. Gory as it was, it inspired some great poetry writing! Take a look at a sample of the poems written by 6th Class, inspired by Shakespeare! It’s safe to say you wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of these spells!
