School Calendar

The annual Table Quiz is an ideal opportunity to get to know your fellow Springdale parents and teachers, and to test your general knowledge. A regular and popular event in the Spring calendar the quiz follows the usual format, with teams of four and a mix of questions on current affairs, sport, film, TV, and music. If the questions don’t suit, you can get lucky in the raffle, and there are lots of spot prizes, too.

There’s plenty to engage the competitively-minded, and lots of fun to be had for those who want a good evening out. This year’s quiz takes place in the Cedar Lounge, St. Assam’s Road, on Friday, March 10th at 8pm.

Teams can be booked in advance at the school or on the night. If anyone would like further information, or would like to donate a raffle prize, feel free to contact us.

That time of the year again when our Easter raffle & cake sale will be taking place. This year it’s being held on the last day of term in association with Temple Street Hospital’s 2017 Great Irish Bake where 50% of all cake sale proceeds will be donated : Friday 7th April. Tickets are €2 each or 6 for €10. The draw will take place towards the end of the cake sale and the PTA would welcome any cake, breads & cookie donations which can be dropped into the school kitchen on the morning of the sale.  Please note that Springdale National School is a nut free environment so please ensure that any cooking donations are free from nuts - including Nutella! Diabetic or Gluten Free baked goods also wanted if anyone fancies a challenge! Finally, please make sure that any containers are labelled so  we may return them afterwards.

The Springdale Sportathon

A wonderfully vibrant way to round off the year arrives each June, with our annual Sports Day. The boys and girls travel down to the beautiful grounds of All Saints’ Church in Raheny, where they run, compete, laugh and play. Events are organised through both the Staff and parents each year.

In the past few years we have been blessed with the weather, so let’s hope that 2017 will be as sunny as ever.  See you all there!

School's Out for another Summer break!!

Everyone's back to school.

That time of the year again. Get the costume ready!! Lots of prizes on the day. See you all there.

We will be hosting our annual Mad Hair/Game Playing Day on Friday 27th October. It costs €2 to participate and all proceeds will be donated to the Irish Cancer Society.

School's out for a whole week!!

Springdale's annual Art Exhibition takes place this year, opening with a wine reception on the evening of the 24th November and continuing over the weekend until 5pm on the Sunday. We hope to see as many people as possible there supporting our local artists over the exhibition weekend which promises to be a fantastic event.

Christmas break starts on Friday 22nd when we break up and back in on the 8th January.
