2nd class have been learning all about the harvest. They learnt that it is a very busy time for farmers and are very thankful for all their hard work. They also discussed the fact that some people are not as fortunate as us and they don’t always have enough food to eat. These people often feel hungry, so 2nd Class decided they wanted to help in some way.

To help, they organised a food collection to take place in school in aid of CrossCare in Darndale.  Thanks to everyone who has supported this great cause by sending in food that has a long shelf life, such as teabags, cereal, tinned foods and pasta.

All food collected will be delivered to Darndale by the end of the week.

Well done 2nd Class!
