6th Class really enjoyed experimenting as coders today using Lego WeDo and our iPads.
This year 6th Class have been participating in a study being conducted in DCU on teaching primary science through real world issues. As part of the study we have been lent a number of Lego WeDo sets. 6th class and Ms Stirling built robots today and using their coding skills programmed them to move around the classroom.

The video clips and photos below show the fun they had:

Lego on the move

Working together

It works!

Hopefully other classes will have the chance to use the Lego WeDo sets and we might even add a set of our own to our wish list.

Thank you once again to our wonderful PTA who fundraised for our iPads. We certainly have enjoyed using them this year!
