Last Wednesday pupils from 6th Class went in to the Community nursing home next door. We met with some of the residents in their activity room. We had a circle time together and they told us about life when they were younger. I particularly enjoyed meeting Christy. He was funny and told great stories. He used to run in Santry Stadium.
Yesterday our neighbours came to us for a coffee morning. We took their orders and served them tea and cake. They really enjoyed it. Some of 4th Class entertained them with live music and we had a singsong. Theresa who lives next door sang a song for us which we all enjoyed.
Over the next few weeks we are invited to go in each Wednesday to have a chat and do different activities. Next week we are hoping to paint some pots that we will plant bulbs in for their bedrooms.
