On Wednesday, 17th September, we were delighted to welcome former Springdale parent, Margaret Nugent, to our school assembly. Margaret was joined by a very special guest — Adie, an ambassador dog for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. She spoke to us about the vital work she and Adie do to support the organisation and raise awareness about the importance of guide dogs in the lives of those who are visually impaired.
Inspired by Margaret and Adie’s visit, 6th Class hosted their first coffee morning of the year on Friday in aid of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. The event was a huge success, raising an impressive €820 for this great cause.
Guests were treated to tea & coffee and the home-baked treats on offer were absolutely delicious — a big thank you to all our talented bakers!
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us on the day and supported this initiative. Special thanks also to our photographers, Conor and Antares, for capturing the fun on camera!
