Thanks to the PTA, pupils from 1st upwards enjoyed a sensory cooking class with Deidre from the Cool Food School on Friday, 10th May. They had the opportunity to take each ingredient and examine it  while preparing healthy apple donuts.

Apple Donuts for 1 :

  • 1 apple – any type
  • 1/2 tablespoon cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • Vanilla essence
  • Toppings of choice : Toasted Seeds, toasted coconut, raisins

Method :

  1. Slice your apple across to make a circle.
  2. Cut the middle out so you’re left with a donut shape.
  3. Mix the cream cheese with the maple syrup and cinnamon.
  4. Spread it on top of your apple donut.
  5. Top it with your favourite toppings!
